I came across this blog post today… read the speech and had a  “YEEESSSS man, you’re so right”– moment — this is  something well worth sharing.

It’s pretty much what I have told my kids a few times in the past: You’re extremely special…. but only to your parents and immediate family… 99.9% of the world out there does not care at all about you, your brilliance, or your achievements. Not. at. all.

While my own train of thought ended just there, the author of the speech takes this thought further and links it very well to the implications this has (or should have) on how to live one’s life. Brilliant thinking.
